EICK Global STEM Academy is a small childcare program in Monroe, OH. We are professional, creative, and our goal is to develop innovative thinkers and the design process in our students.

We are looking for a dedicated and dependable Assistant Teacher who is a team player to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our students.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable supporting children of varying ages. This is a year-round position (school year/summer camp). Most major holidays off.

Schedule: 8:15am-5:15pm, Monday - Friday, with 60 minute break.

$17.50/hour base; Education and experience will be considered.

The ideal candidate will:

Have a passion for teaching young children.
Have the ability to implement creative and engaging lessons and activities that meet the needs of all students and promote learning and development.
Be comfortable working with varying backgrounds and age groups.
Be willing to step in to assist each classroom as needed.
Be willing to lead a classroom when the Lead Teacher is absent.
Have the ability to foster positive relationships with parents/guardians and colleagues.
A valid CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
Must pass background checks and drug screenings.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent education.

Responsibilities:

Implement lesson plans for children.
Supervise and monitor the safety of all children.
Be responsible for diaper changes and toilet training as applicable.
Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
Organize activities that develop motor skills, social skills, and problem-solving skills.
Assist with activities of daily living.
